Work with a friendly, family-run team
Your Choice Supportive Living provides non-regulated, person-centred support to adults aged 18+ across Portland, Weymouth, Dorchester, Bridport and Sherborne. We are looking for caring, dependable people who want to help others build confidence and independence.
Paid travel time
Travel time between clients is paid. Home-to-first and last-to-home journeys are excluded.
45p per mile
Eligible work-related travel mileage.
55p per mile
When you transport a client in your own car, the client pays you directly.
Hours to suit you
Full-time, part-time and flexible hours, arranged around availability wherever possible and subject to service needs.
Local community work
Support people across Dorset to reach their own goals.
YOUR ROLE
What you'll be doing
- Supporting adults with mental health needs, autism and learning disabilities
- Helping people build routines, confidence and independent living skills
- Accompanying people to appointments, activities and community groups
- Supporting shopping, household tasks, errands and everyday organisation
- Providing companionship and respectful, person-centred support
- Keeping accurate records and maintaining professional boundaries
Please note: This is a non-regulated support role and does not involve providing personal care.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
What you'll need
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- A reliable, compassionate and professional approach
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- Respect for confidentiality, safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Flexibility to work agreed support hours
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and safer-recruitment checks
